The Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences was founded in 1924. Formerly known as the College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions, the name changed to Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in 2000 Currently located at downtown Detroit, Michigan and is one of Wayne State University's professional schools. There are currently sixteen courses offered in the school, with fourteen degree programs and two certificate programs. The college is divided into four academic departments: Fundamental & amp; Applied Sciences, Health Care Sciences, Pharmaceutical Practice, and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Building structure
The building is currently available in May 2002. The building is 270,000 square feet with five floors, six levels and is designed by Neumann/Smith Architecture. The building provides many laboratories, offices, and classrooms, divided into programs. The top three floors are home to offices and laboratories while three lower ones include classrooms and auditoriums. Students of mortar science, however, work in their own buildings. The Mortuary Science Building is located on Woodward Avenue in Midtown Detroit.
