Tyson Cleotis Chandler (born October 2, 1982) is an American professional basketball player for the Phoenix Suns of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Chandler was the second overall pick of the 2001 NBA draft by the Los Angeles Clippers, then immediately traded to the Chicago Bulls. He also plays for New Orleans Hornets, the Charlotte Bobcats, the Dallas Mavericks, and the New York Knicks. As an early hub for Dallas, he played an integral role in the first NBA franchise championship in 2011. Early life and high school
Chandler was born to Frank Chandler and Vernie Threadgill, though he did not see his father, Frank, until later in his life. He grew up on a family farm in Hanford, California, just south of Fresno, California. Professional career
Chicago Bulls (2001-2006)

Chandler followed it up with a better season for New Orleans where he put 11.7 points and 11.8 rebounds games and led the league in an offensive rebound. It was his fourth straight game with 15 rebounds or more, the longest run by the Suns since Shawn Marion had four in 2006.
