Oklahoma Technical College

The success of Clary Sage College led to the decision to establish Oklahoma Technical College (OTC), offering programs in automotive technology, diesel technology, welding technology, and heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC ) and cooling. OTC opened in 2009.

The college operates under a non-profit company for 20 years, and on June 30, college assets were acquired by a new public charity 501 (c) (3), Community HigherEd.

The career academy plays an important role in the growth and development of the nation's economy. With a 14th-ranked US on people aged between 25-34 and undergraduate degrees, career-focused skills training will continue to play a role in improving the metrics so that the country improves international standing.

Although tax status with the IRS has changed, Founder Teresa Knox stated that the company currently operates similar to a non-profit organization in many ways: it is socially connected, has a transparent culture, and is committed to being a contributing force to society. Colleges want to continue to be evaluated, as all higher education institutions should, on student outcomes.... graduation rates, job placement rates, and failure rate of student loans.

"'For Profit' is part of our mission and ultimate goal and minimizes our long-term goals," said CEO Teresa Knox, "Our strategy is to increase the number and number of scholarships offered to students to reduce student loan debt and expand educational opportunities and careers for those who need it most.
