Paul Ronald Friedberg (born December 14, 1959) is an American Olympic fencer.

Friedberg was born in Baltimore, Maryland, and Jewish. His brother is Olympic fencing player John Friedberg.

Marvel at career
Fencing at the University of Pennsylvania for the University of Pennsylvania Quaker, Friedberg is an All-Ivy League four times, and All-American three times. He won the NCAA saber title in 1979, 1980, and 1981. As a senior in 1981, Friedberg received the 1915 Class Award, awarded to a senior-grade athlete closest to approaching ideal University of Pennsylvania students. He graduated with a degree from the University of Pennsylvania's Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science, and subsequently obtained an MBA from the Penn Wharton Business School.
Friedberg won the gold medal in 1981 Games. He competed in the 1983 Pan American Games, won a silver medal in the saber team at the Pan American Games 1987 and 1991 Pan American Games, and won a gold medal in the saber team at the 1995 Pan American Games.
He competed in the saber team event at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul. Friedberg was inducted into the Penn Athletic Hall of Fame in 1996.
