The Army Aboriginal Community Support Program (originally called 'Project') is a program run by the Department of Family, Housing, Community Service and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA) and the Australian Army to help the remote Australian Native community. It is also known as the ATSIC/Soldiers Community Support Program and also the SAUNDER Exercise , after Reg Saunders, the first Indigenous Australians to be assigned as officers in the Australian Army.

This was announced by Senator John Herron on November 14, 1996. The first series of AACAP projects took place between 1997 and 2000. The second project series was delivered between 2001 and 2004. The program continued in 2005 with projects funded in the Australian federal budget of 2004. The third round of projects was delivered between 2006 and 2009.

At the 10th anniversary of the program, more than 100 homes have been built and over $ 60 million spent on infrastructure provision including "medical centers, airfields, roads, garbage tips... [and] sewerage work". Various health services have also been delivered including "men's health programs, dental checkups and pet care programs".

The project is administered through 19 Chief Engineer Works, and is delivered by various corps including Royal Australian Engineers, Royal Australian Army Medical Corps, Royal Australian Army Dental Corps and Royal Australian Army Educational Corps. The majority of these personnel were taken from the 17th and 21st Squadron Construction, as well as the 21st and 22nd Construction Regiments. Personnel from NORFORCE and various Land Warfare Center detachments are also sometimes involved. Each project consists of elements of construction, health and training and is tailored to meet the needs of the community in which the project is undertaken.

Recent locations for AACAP are Pukatja, South Australia (2010) and Fitzroy Crossing, Western Australia (2011). AACAP 2012 will take place on the Dampier Peninsula.
